Turn over a new leaf

Ok hold it right there….. step away from the grill……….easy does it…. Put you hands where I can see them and don’t even think about reaching for the lighter or the turners. Today we celebrate summer in a different way… we start a fresh, turn over a new leaf if you like…..

You know how sometimes when the weather is hot; you don’t feel like eating anything at all. A cool drink of water is about the only thing that looks appealing at such a time. According to the society that we live in, you might however still feel pressure to fire up the grill and marinade the meat whereas all you really want to do is have some drinks and chats with friends and family.

If you’ve hit such a point during this summer, no worries, we want you to know there is a way out. You can back away from the grill and still appear triumphant. There is a fast, efficient and fresh solution that allows you to keep as cool as your drink.

Salads could be your saviour, especially if they’re a bit off the beaten track. They’re quick to make, filling yet light and by their appearance can be magically enchanting. We have a couple of suggestions for you this week that will certainly refresh you.

So try our summer salad selection, not the usual stuff, but some really simple fresh and reviving ones that are made in a flash.

Greek Salad

Greek Salad: Has a nice bite and a balance of fresh and salty; eat it with some fresh pita breads and your meal is made.

Caesar Salad

Caesar Salad: what you have here really is the base, which is an awesome salad on its own, but if you’d like to sneak in a few char grilled chicken breasts, go-on then fire up the grill.

Summer Salad

Summer Salad: Fresh and deeply good for you, that is what we feel when we make this salad.. just try it and let us know what you think.

Orange and Almond CouscousCouscous: This dish will leave you speechless, we had to make it twice just to understand how nice the different flavours combined.. and just so you know: “Look ma……………. no oil or butter added”
